Change management in organisations through biomimicry models and techniques

A six-day programme to Biomimicry Expert in change management. How do you steer and guide change in organisations in a natural way?
Strategic, operational and innovation-driven change succeeds more often when biomimicry is applied (LAMP research). In this programme you learn how nature can help you shape change more efficiently and more effectively.

Content

The programme combines theory sessions, assignments at your own workplace and a practical session. The theory sessions give you the grounding — scientific research, and the biomimicry models and techniques for change programmes. The assignments put your own experience as a change manager and your view of change at the centre. In the practical sessions you work out and analyse a business case, and are challenged to apply what you have learned.
The practical day is built around a climate game: you join one of the climate tables of Quagga Island and are challenged to get the island to climate neutral in as little time as possible.

Structure, duration and workload

The programme runs over three months, with five training sessions and one practical day. Preparation and assignments take three to five hours a week on average, on top of the sessions and the practical day.

Who it is for

The programme is meant for people who lead, or are about to lead, a process of change. You are willing to take in new ideas and to share your own experience. You want to strengthen your knowledge of nature, change management, integrated thinking, resilience and communication techniques. You think at higher-professional or academic level and have no trouble reading English literature.

Do you need other ways of seeing to carry change programmes through successfully? Do you have the sense that change could and should be approached differently? Would you like a handhold for reducing resistance and putting people at the centre? Then this programme is for you.

CPE credits

Biomimicry Expert

On successfully completing the programme you receive the certificate Biomimicry Business Change Manager. It complements your training as a certified change manager. With it you are prepared for the newest developments in organisations and you make the difference. Steering change in continuously changing organisations, against shifting social expectations, calls for a different way of steering and planning. As a Biomimicry Expert you are ready for what comes next.

The current dates and the subject of each session are listed in the schedule further down this page. All training and theory sessions take place in our coach house on the edge of the woods in Oosterbeek.

Price

The current price is shown with the dates in the schedule below. It covers course materials, certification and the day arrangement.

Register

The course materials used during the training are included in the total price. They comprise the following literature: 'Het beest in uw organisatie' and 'Firm of the Future 3.8' by Els Martijn, 'Biomimicry: Innovation Inspired by Nature' by Janine M. Benyus, 'The Nature of Business: Redesigning for Resilience' by Giles Hutchins, and 'Het veranderboek' by S. and W. ten Have and B. Janssen. The pack also contains material specific to this programme, such as a syllabus and hand-outs. Use of the venue, coffee and tea and an extensive lunch buffet are likewise included in the total price.
